Workshops for the Imagination
Was set up by Alex Sutton-Vane to bring a wider range of quality art to children aged from 2yrs.
It is based in Brighton and run through a unique art studio for children, offering a range of after school art clubs, art courses, pre school art with music and creative play, themed art parties and holiday art workshops.
The philosophy behind Workshops For The Imagination is to allow creativity to thrive in an informal but structured environment.
Using a wide range of materials and computer programmes children can invent, create and formulate ideas, allowing them to be free with their imagination. The workshop leaders are there to direct this process, instigate ideas and help solve problems.
There is an emphasis on three dimensional design and model making using a wide variety of different materials including clay and modelling dough and exploring techniques such as paper sculpture, animation and model making.
